The pups are now on their second full day of life and all ten girls appear to be doing pretty well. We have been giving bottle feedings to supplement mom's milk and had to tube feed one puppy last night, but today everybody is doing very well on their own. Their weights have all dropped a bit since birth, but we expect tonight's weigh-in to be a slight improvement. Most of them have fat bellies now and with Jade's milk finally coming in fully, we hope nobody will be skinny anymore in a day or two.

The puppies are beautiful and Jade is such a wonderful mom. Jade is well rested now and seems so content with her babies. She's venturing out of the room more often than she has with previous litters and appears to be more comfortable than ever as a mom this time around. (Not that she didn't do an excellent job before!) Jade has even enjoyed lots of puppy visitors already, little kids, big kids and adults alike. She's such a sweet girl!
