Finally an update that's long overdue: Kia went to live with her big sister (from the first Jade x Kodiak litter) Zoe in Burlington, WI and Sol, Peg and Julia adore Kia as much as Zoe does!

The reports from new owners have been coming in steadily and it sounds like all of the pups are adjusting well to their new homes and families. Jade has settled into life without the litter, but she does still have little Kia here to keep her busy.

Kona (formerly Ms. Purple) 12# 10oz at 8 wks old. Residing in Campbell, CA with the Holbrook family.

True (formerly Ms. Green) - 12# 6oz at 8 weeks old. Resides in Lee's Summit, MO with Kevin Roberts and Ellen Schenk.

Ms. Rainbow (no name yet) - 12# 12oz at 8 weeks old. Resides in Portland, OR with the McCrae family.

Chena (formerly Ms. Pink) - 14# 1oz Resides in San Diego, CA with the Barry family

Ms. Yellow 8 weeks old - 13.5lbs Residing here at Channahon Chinooks until we find her the ideal breed potential/show home.

All but three puppies left for their new homes yesterday. The house is fairly quiet once again. The girls all weighed in at a respectable 11-14.5 pounds at 8 weeks old, despite their difficult and slow start at weight gain. There was a variety of shapes, colors and temperaments in this litter, but all of them were beautiful and wonderful in all kinds of ways. I will miss this litter sooo much, but am happy to see them go off to their new homes at the same time. I am blessed with nine families that seem absolutely wonderful in every way and I know our pups are going to be well loved. Seven weeks - down to the wire. I'm overloaded with things to do to get these puppies ready for their new homes, so yes, I'm behind on photos and the updates! The girls are BIG now, totally adorable and lots of work! It's a challenge to find enough hours in the day to do everything I need to do with them and with all the stuff I need to send them home with. Photos will come soon!
